Atletico Madrid reportedly refuse to let full-back Kieran Trippier leave the club this summer unless his £51m release clause is met, amid interested from Arsenal.
The Gunners, along with Manchester United, are keen to recruit the former Tottenham Hotspur defender, who played a key part in Atletico's La Liga title success last season.
However, the Spanish giants have rebuffed an enquiry from Mikel Arteta's side and will not entertain any offers for the England international, according to AS.
Arsenal have already spent £50m on centre-back Ben White this summer, but the North London club are still looking to bring in defensive reinforcements before the August 31 deadline.
Trippier, 30, has two years remaining on his current deal in Madrid, and it is unlikely that any potential suitors would be willing to activate his release clause given his age.
The full-back made 35 appearances across all competitions for Atletico last season, as well as featuring five times for England at Euro 2020.
