The representatives of Real Madrid playmaker Martin Odegaard reportedly touched down in London on Monday in order to discuss a return to Arsenal.
With the Gunners lacking creative inspiration in the first half of the 2020-21 season, Odegaard arrived on a six-month loan deal from the Bernabeu and made an immediate impression under Mikel Arteta.
The Norway captain registered two goals and two assists from 20 appearances in all competitions, and the Gunners have been keen to re-sign him on a permanent basis throughout the summer.
Real Madrid are thought to be increasingly open to a sale in the current transfer window, and The Mirror now claims that Odegaard's agents have arrived in the English capital to make progress in negotiations.
The report claims that Odegaard would initially return to the Emirates on a season-long loan deal, and the Gunners would then have first refusal on a £30m transfer in 2022.
The 22-year-old is contracted to Real Madrid until the summer of 2023 but was not included in Carlo Ancelotti's squad for Saturday's 4-1 victory over Alaves in La Liga.
