Louis van Gaal makes Adnan Januzaj U-turn

Adnan Januzaj will no longer feature for Manchester United's Under-21 side tonight, manager Louis van Gaal reveals.

Louis van Gaal has revealed that Adnan Januzaj will not feature for Manchester United's Under-21 side against Reading tonight.

Upon the 20-year-old's early return from his loan stint with Borussia Dortmund last week, Van Gaal said that Januzaj would have to prove himself with the club's second string before he returned to the senior squad.

However, the United boss has now confirmed that Januzaj's comeback will be managed differently to what had originally been intended.

"We have reconsidered and we think we have to build him up for the game and not to risk too much by putting him in a match," he told reporters.

Januzaj has not played a competitive match since he turned out for Dortmund on December 10.
