Manchester City defender Maicon believes that Roberto Mancini matches Sir Alex Ferguson when it comes to giving the 'hairdryer treatment'.
Ferguson has become infamous for his half-time dressing down of players if things aren't going Manchester United's way, with the method being labelled as 'the hairdryer'.
However, the former Inter Milan defender, who has just been reunited with his old boss, is adamant that Mancini's pursuit of perfection means that he is always on the brink of eruption.
"All winning coaches are the same so if he Ferguson has the hairdryer, Roberto has the same passion," said Maicon. "All winning managers are the same and they show this passion because they really want to win and the players can feel that.
"Roberto is no different. He's a winning manager like the other ones, so he has the same passion. It is important. That is the way he should be, a passionate coach who demands high standards.
"If he gets angry he reminds everybody of the standards required. There is a minimum requirement that is always there. The players know they have to perform at that level."
The Brazilian joined City on transfer deadline day.
