A Manchester City youth team footballer arrested over the deaths of a man and a woman has been released on bail.
Courtney Meppen-Walter, 18, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a car he was believed to be driving crashed into a red Nissan Micra, killing Kulwant Singh, 32, and his sister Ravel-Kaur, 37.
A second man, aged 19, was also arrested on the same charge, and he has also been released on bail.
"Two men arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal collision in north Manchester have been bailed," said a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police.
Meppen-Walter had yet to make a first-team appearance for City, but was a regular in England's Under-17 team.
