Greg Stewart and Rory Loy both struck in each half to fire Dundee to a 4-0 opening-day victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park this afternoon.
It was the visiting side who started the brighter as Kane Hemmings charged through on goal, but Jamie MacDonald was equal to the English striker's effort.
Dundee continued to fire away attempts at goal without truly troubling McDonald between the sticks, the closest of which came via Stewart midway through the half.
It was Stewart who finally made a breakthrough for the Dees soon after, curling a fine strike beyond McDonald to open his account for the season.
Loy then added an easy second shortly before the interval when left unmarked to fire into the roof of the net.
Killie boss Gary Locke opted to make a triple change at the break, though it counted for little after Loy pounced on Gary Harkins's ball to double his personal tally for the afternoon.
Dundee remained comfortable as they looked to see out the remainder, but Kris Boyd could have made life a little more difficult for Paul Hartley's side had he found the target from close range.
The points were well and truly wrapped up 12 minutes from time, however, courtesy of Stewart's second of the contest which came after he twisted and turned inside the box to fire home.
