Italy have been dealt a blow ahead of Tuesday's friendly with England after Leonardo Spinazzola was forced to withdraw from the squad through injury.
The 25-year-old had been expected to start for Italy in the clash at Wembley Stadium after failing to make an appearance in the 2-0 defeat to Argentina last week.
However, the Azzurri have revealed that the Juventus defender has been allowed to return to Atalanta BC - where he is spending the season on loan - after picking up an unspecified knock in training.
The full-back is currently spending his second campaign at Atalanta, with a total of 63 appearances coming in all competitions since 2016.
Spinazzola made his debut for Italy last March, winning five caps since his initial bow.
