Ulster coach Mark Anscombe reveals that Ireland flanker Stephen Ferris could yet take part in the Six Nations.

Ulster coach Mark Anscombe has revealed that Ireland flanker Stephen Ferris is making good progress following ankle surgery.

The 27-year-old, who underwent the operation to repair tendon damage in December, was expected to be unavailable for the Six Nations tournament that begins next month.

However, Anscombe told BBC Sport: "Stephen Ferris, mid-February, fingers crossed, all going well."

Ireland's campaign begins against Wales on February 2.
