Dominic Samuel joins Ipswich Town on loan from Reading

Ipswich Town complete the signing of striker Dominic Samuel on loan from Reading until the end of the season.

Ipswich Town have announced the signing of Dominic Samuel on loan from Reading until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old striker has featured nine times for the Royals in the Championship this season, scoring two goals to help Jaap Stam's side up to third in the table.

Samuel, who came through the ranks at the Madejski Stadium, has spent previous loan spells at Colchester United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Coventry City and Gillingham, but this is the first time that he has joined a fellow Championship side.

The England Under-19 international will be unavailable to make his debut during Saturday's clash with parent club Reading, but could feature a week later against Aston Villa.

Samuel becomes Mick McCarthy's sixth signing of the January transfer window.
