Milan Baros leaves Galatasaray

Milan Baros reaches an agreement with Galatasaray to cancel his contract with the Turkish club.

Former Liverpool striker Milan Baros has had his contract with Galatasaray cancelled by mutual consent.

The 31-year-old, who joined the Turkish side from Lyon in 2008, has failed to make a single appearance this season.

"The two parties have reached the best solution in the current situation," Baros's agent Pavel Paska wrote on his official website. "Now we can sit down with Milan and consider his footballing future."

Reports in his native Czech Republic have since linked him to a return to his homeland with Banik Ostrava, while clubs in Russia and Qatar are also said to be interested.

As well as Liverpool, Baros also had spells in England with Aston Villa and Portsmouth.
