Fulham have reportedly launched a move to sign Michael Mancienne from Nottingham Forest before the end of the transfer window.
Mancienne has been a regular for Forest since joining the club from Hamburger SV last summer and his versatility has seen him operate in midfield and defence.
According to the Nottingham Post, Fulham have already tabled a bid between £1.5m and £2m, but it is believed that Dougie Freedman is reluctant to let the 27-year-old leave the City Ground.
It remains unclear whether Fulham will make a second bid or if Forest will reject any approach they receive prior to Tuesday night's deadline.
Mancienne has played in all five of Forest's matches this season.
