Wigan Athletic have signed Everton striker Conor McAleny on loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Goodison Park but has struggled to make the step up to the first team, spending time on loan at Scunthorpe United, Brentford and Cardiff City in recent seasons.
McAleny was also sent out to Charlton Athletic in the Championship earlier this term, making eight appearances for the Addicks before returning to his parent club.
"Conor is someone we were looking at last summer and have been keeping a close eye," manager Gary Caldwell told Wigan's official website.
"He's a young player hungry to prove himself and we are delighted he will be able to do that with us for the rest of the season."
McAleny is the third player that the Latics have signed on loan from Everton this season and their seventh addition of the January transfer window.
