Victor Anichebe is targeting a high finish for Everton this season.

Everton striker Victor Anichebe has said that the club are targeting as high a Premier League finish as possible.

Anichebe insisted that the players believe in themselves once more following their recent 2-0 victory over champions Manchester City.

"That [win] shows the kind of team Everton are," Sky Sports News quotes Anichebe as saying. "We always respond after a down and come back strong.

"Winning that game was big for us. The fans were really happy and we were happy ourselves. It showed we have got the belief back. Now we can finish the season as high as possible."

Everton are currently sixth in the Premier League, two points behind Arsenal.
