England defender Gary Cahill has claimed that Andros Townsend made the difference during Friday's 4-1 win over Montenegro in their World Cup qualifier.
The 22-year-old Tottenham Hotspur winger marked his debut with a goal as the Three Lions moved closer to sealing a place at next year's tournament in Brazil.
"Andros Townsend was the difference," The Express quotes him as saying. "I thought he was phenomenal down the wing.
"Every time he got the ball he was positive. It was good to see him get the goal as well as set one up. He was brilliant."
England play their final qualifier on Tuesday when they entertain Poland at Wembley Stadium.
