John Terry says that Didier Drogba has been "incredible" for Chelsea over the last eight years and hopes that the Ivorian will stay at Stamford Bridge next season.

Chelsea captain John Terry hopes that Didier Drogba will still be at Stamford Bridge next season.

The Ivorian made history on Saturday by scoring in four seperate cup finals as the Blues beat Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley.

Terry said that it would be "a shame" if Drogba was to leave in the summer when his contract runs out.

"It will be such a shame if Didier leaves because he has been incredible for this club," said Terry. "Didi loves Chelsea and I really hope he will be back next season.

"We've got a massive Champions League game in a couple of weeks and after that hopefully something can be thrashed out and he stays."

Drogba signed for Chelsea for £24m from Marseille in 2004.
