Samuel Eto'o close to Chelsea switch?

Chelsea will reportedly confirm the signing of Samuel Eto'o within the next 48 hours.

Chelsea will reportedly clinch the signing of Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto'o in the next 48 hours.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho has been keen to reunite himself with the Cameroon forward and the club could confirm the deal before the weekend, according to the Daily Mail.

Eto'o, who has previously worked with Mourinho at Inter Milan, will move to Stamford Bridge on a one-year deal.

Despite having Romelu Lukaku, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba to choose from, Mourinho raised eyebrows ahead of Monday night's 0-0 draw against Manchester United by starting the game without a recognised striker.
