AS Monaco unlikely to recall Radamel Falcao from Chelsea loan

AS Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev says that the club will not be recalling Radamel Falcao from his loan at Chelsea because of injury.

AS Monaco have suggested that they will not end Radamel Falcao's season-long loan at Chelsea.

The Colombian, 29, has scored just one Premier League goal since joining Chelsea and is currently out injured with a thigh problem.

He recently underwent tests with Monaco and his parent club will not be ending his loan as he could be out for a further two months.

"Falcao is currently injured," Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev told the club website. "He has six to eight weeks to go like that. We have decided not to take him back to Monaco for the moment."

According to PA, Falcao recently rejected approaches from clubs in Mexico and Turkey.
