Dominic Solanke to join Vitesse on loan

Chelsea youngster Dominic Solanke is close to joining Vitesse on loan after training with the Dutch side.

Vitesse have confirmed that they intend to sign Dominic Solanke on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

The 17-year-old has been training with the Dutch side, despite manager Jose Mourinho previously claiming that he would get a chance with the Premier League champions' first team this season.

A statement from the club said: "Dominick Solanke will be training with Vitesse from Tuesday. The attacker has a fine reputation as a proven goalscorer and represented England at Under-16, U17 and U18 level. Club and players hope to agree terms shortly."

Solanke is the fifth Chelsea player to join Vitesse on loan for the 2015-16 season, alongside Danilo Pantic, Isaiah Brown, Nathan Baker and Lewis Baker.
