Chelsea have reportedly joined Liverpool in the race to sign Genk midfielder Sander Berge.
Earlier this month, Genk sporting director Dimitri De Conde claimed that both Napoli and Liverpool were closely monitoring the 21-year-old's form for the Belgian outfit.
The Norway international, who has scored twice in 20 appearances at club level this season, will see his current deal with Blauw-Wit expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to Goal.com, Chelsea are 'keeping tabs' on the midfielder as the Blues put a plan together for when their transfer suspension comes to an end.
The report also notes that the Premier League outfit have a strong relationship with Genk having signed both Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois from the club in the past.
Frank Lampard's side are back in Premier League action away to Manchester City on Saturday night.
