Malky Mackay: Cardiff need everyone to score

Malky Mackay warns that Cardiff City can't just rely on their strikers to be scoring goals.

Malky Mackay has said that Cardiff City can't just rely on their strikers to be scoring goals.

The Bluebirds have suffered a dip in form recently and Mackay believes it is time for everyone to chip in when it comes to getting on the scoreboard.

"We've Kenny Miller, Joe Mason, Don Cowie and the rest, it's down to everyone to work and score goals," said Mackay.

"Kenny turned his ankle and he came in and did a bit the morning before the Birmingham game. I just felt he wasn't match-fit.

"Forwards have got to bide their time as well. Robert Earnshaw came in recently and did well and it's about mixing things about as Rudy Gestede causes a different threat as well."

Cardiff are currently eighth in the Championship with just goal difference keeping them from a play-off spot.
