Yann Sommer has admitted that he is unable to find the reason behind Borussia Monchengladbach's poor start to the season.
After finishing third in the table last season, Lucien Favre's side have struggled to replicate the same form in the early stages of the new campaign and slipped to a fourth successive defeat with a 3-0 loss to Hamburger SV on Friday night.
Sommer was quick to reveal his frustration after Gladbach extended their losing run to fall further behind the teams they battled for Champions League qualification just a few months ago.
"It's really hard to think of what to say after a game like this," the goalkeeper told the Bundesliga website. "We expected a lot from the game, but nothing worked for us. We just didn't play well. I'm struggling to come up with an explanation as to why it's going so badly for us. We're not playing well and HSV didn't actually have to do a lot to win the game.
"It's tough to take, but letting our heads drop won't help. We will continue to train hard and keep fighting to rediscover our form."
Gladbach now turn their focus to Tuesday's Champions League clash with Sevilla.
