Barcelona open to selling Nelson Semedo?

Barcelona are reportedly open to parting ways with defender Nelson Semedo during the January transfer window.

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to consider offers for defender Nelson Semedo during the January transfer window.

During his two-and-a-half years at Camp Nou, Semedo has made a total of 77 starts and 23 substitute appearances in all competitions.

Fourteen of those outings have come in this season's La Liga, with the Portugal international helping the Catalan giants to top the league standings.

However, according to reports in Spain, Barcelona are open to selling the right-back at the beginning of 2020 as they contemplate whether to bring in a like-for-like replacement.

With Semedo having a contract until 2022, the alleged stance comes as a surprise, although the player is unlikely to be short of interest from elsewhere.

The former Benfica man is keen to secure regular first-team football ahead of potentially representing his homeland during Euro 2020.
