Vicente Del Bosque says that Guardiola's decision to leave Barcelona must be accepted.

Spain's World Cup-winning coach Vicente Del Bosque believes that Pep Guardiola's decision to leave Barcelona must be respected.

Guardiola has decided to take some time away from the game after winning 13 trophies during his four years in charge at the Nou Camp, and Del Bosque says that he 'understands' the former Catalan captain's decision.

"Pep has made a decision as a Barcelona man and there is nothing to do but accept what he has done," Del Bosque told EFE.

"He thinks that this is the best for him and for Barca. I understand him and I wish him the best."

Guardiola's assistant Tito Vilanova has been confirmed as Barca's coach for 2012-13.
