Matthew Spiranovic: 'Australia do not fear anyone'

Matthew Spiranovic insists that Australia head into the World Cup with no fear as they look to surprise their Group B rivals.

Matthew Spiranovic has insisted that there is no reason for Australia to fear anyone ahead of their World Cup campaign.

Australia face a battle to reach the knockout stages after being drawn alongside the Netherlands, Chile and defending champions Spain in Group B, but Spiranovic believes that it is important for Ange Postecoglou's side to adopt a positive approach.

"We're going into these games as the underdogs and that's fine by us," the defender told FIFA.com. "Within the camp and the group there's still a lot of belief that we could go out there and surprise people.

"It's a young team and there's no fear amongst us. I'm confident we can go out there and surprise them."

Australia begin their campaign against Chile on Friday night.
