Salford City Reds have announced that they have sacked Phil Veivers following four defeats in the first five games of the Super League season.
The club is at the bottom of the league table following a 38-4 defeat by London Broncos on Friday evening.
Reds CEO Ed Farish said in a statement: "Results speak for themselves and it was felt a change must be made to allow our progression to continue on the field and off it.
"We thank Phil for his efforts during an extremely difficult close season and wish him all the best for the future.
"We have had to look at the whole business and what is right for the club."
The Australian joined Salford in 2011, having previously coached at Wigan.
