Ledley King returns from injury to start for Spurs in their clash with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Ledley King has handed Tottenham Hotspur a huge fitness boost in their title clash with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.

The centre back returns to the starting lineup in place of Michael Dawson and also takes the captain's armband from his fellow defender.

Jermain Defoe starts in attack in place of Emmanuel Adebayor, who is unavailable for selection against his parent club.

City are missing a number of key players but Micah Richards does return to play at right back at the expense of Pablo Zabaleta.

Edin Dzeko starts alongside Sergio Aguero up front, while Mario Balotelli is fit enough for a place among the substitutes.

Man City: Hart; Richards, Savic, Lescott, Clichy; Nasri, Barry, Milner; Silva, Dzeko, Aguero.

Tottenham: Friedel; Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Parker, Modric, Bale; Van der Vaart; Defoe.
