Moussa Sissoko criticises Maurico Pochettino's tactics following Tottenham Hotspur's 7-2 defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Moussa Sissoko has criticised Mauricio Pochettino's tactics in the wake of Tottenham Hotspur's 7-2 humiliation at the hands of Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

Spurs conceded seven goals in a game for the first time in their history after former Arsenal player Serge Gnabry scored four times in the second period.

The defeat has cast fresh questions over Pochettino's future a week on from the club's EFL Cup exit following a penalty shootout defeat to League Two side Colchester United.

Speaking to RMC about Spurs' tactical approach soon after the game, Sissoko admitted: "We get tired too quickly physically when we play with a diamond midfield. We gave up too quickly."

Despite the magnitude of the loss, the Spurs board continues to fully back Pochettino, who signed a new five-year contract worth £8.5m a year with the club in May.

Reports claimed that Spurs players held their own inquest into the defeat in the dressing room after Pochettino gave his squad the silent treatment.
