Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho hits back at Tottenham Hotspur's supporters by mocking the club's lack of success over the past 10 years.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has aimed a swipe at Tottenham Hotspur's lack of success in recent years.

Spurs inflicted Mourinho's worst-ever home defeat during Monday night's clash at Old Trafford as they ran out 3-0 winners, with supporters mocking the United boss by singing "You're not special anymore".

However, Mourinho pointed out that his side denied Tottenham's hopes of ending a 10-year wait for silverware with victory in the FA Cup semi-final last season.

"They didn't have that song when we beat them at Wembley a couple of months ago," Mourinho told reporters ahead of United's trip to Burnley on Sunday.

"That was a cup final they had a big dream to go. They also had a title they had a big dream to win, because they didn't win many, and of course they were not singing that."

Mourinho also claimed that he remains "one of the greatest managers in the world" during his pre-match press conference.
