Manchester City full-back Pablo Zabaleta out for three weeks

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta announces that he will be out for "around three weeks" with a muscle tear in his calf.

Manchester City right-back Pablo Zabaleta has been ruled out for the rest of the Premier League season with a calf injury.

The 31-year-old said tonight on Twitter that he would be out for around three weeks with a muscle tear.

The Argentine wrote: "Sadly after an MRI scan I can confirm a muscle tear grade 2 in my left calf which is around 3 weeks off."

He will therefore miss the rest of the domestic season but could play again, with City aiming to reach the Champions League final by defeating Real Madrid tomorrow night.

Zabaleta has made 22 appearances in all competitions this season.
