Liverpool attacker Federico Chiesa might have played his way into his first Premier League start for Saturday's home clash against Ipswich Town.
The 27-year-old has only earned 21 minutes from two substitute appearances in the English top flight so far, but he has started to come into his own since the turn of the year.
After scoring a terrific strike against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup, Chiesa provided a bright spark off the bench in Tuesday's 2-1 Champions League win over Lille, where the Reds confirmed their place in the last 16.
As Darwin Nunez played the full 90 in midweek, and Luis Diaz has not been on the boil of late, there is every chance that Slot will promote Chiesa to the starting lineup on the left-hand side.
Such a move would allow Cody Gakpo to start up front as he aims to become just the third Dutch player to score in five straight Premier League home games, following in the footsteps of Robin van Persie and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
However, Harvey Elliot's goal in midweek should not be enough to displace Dominik Szoboszlai or Mohamed Salah; the former should be guaranteed a start in the number role thanks to Curtis Jones's recent knock.
Jones and Szoboszlai started together in midweek, but Slot should now reintroduce Alexis Mac Allister in place of the Englishman, while numerous alterations are afoot in defence.
Only Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk should be retained from the midweek starting XI, as Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ibrahima Konate return to the fold.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Chiesa; Gakpo
