How Juventus could line up against Bologna

Sports Mole looks at how Juventus could line up in Monday night's Serie A clash with Bologna.

Juventus will be looking to bounce back from Wednesday's Coppa Italia disappointment when they resume their 2019-20 Serie A campaign away to Bologna on Monday night.

The Italian champions lost on penalties to Napoli in the final of the Coppa Italia last week but must now switch their attention to the league.

Maurizio Sarri's side are currently top of the division but sit just one point clear of second-placed Lazio, who are not in action until June 24 away to Atalanta BC.

The Old Lady therefore have the chance to open up a four-point advantage at the summit and will be looking to record their fourth straight Serie A victory.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up on Monday night.

POSS JUVE XI vs. BOL

Out: Alex Sandro (knee), Sami Khedira (tendon), Merih Demiral (knee)
Doubtful: Giorgio Chiellini (knee), Gonzalo Higuain (thigh)

Juve will definitely be without the services of Alex Sandro, Sami Khedira and Merih Demiral for Monday's contest, while two more players will face late fitness tests.

Indeed, Giorgio Chiellini and Gonzalo Higuain were both left out against Napoli with knee and thigh complaints respectively, and it remains to be seen whether either is available for this match.

Mattia De Sciglio and Danilo are battling to replace Sandro at left-back, but there are not expected to be too many other changes from the side that started the Coppa Italia final.

Wojciech Szczesny will replace Gianluigi Buffon between the sticks, but Douglas Costa is again likely to keep his spot alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala in the final third of the field.

Aaron Ramsey proved his fitness by appearing off the bench on Wednesday, although Miralem Pjanic is expected to keep his spot at the base of a midfield three.

Federico Bernardeschi, who was a late substitute against Napoli, is another player pushing for a spot in a forward area, but the Italian might have to accept a place on the bench once again.
