Steve Bruce still pondering Hull City's FA Cup final XI

Speaking after a 3-1 defeat to Manchester United, Hull City boss Steve Bruce admits that he is still deliberating over his starting XI for the FA Cup final on May 17.

Steve Bruce has hinted that he does not know who will make up his Hull City starting XI when they face Arsenal in their first ever FA Cup final on May 17.

Bruce gave a couple of fringe players the chance to stake their claim for a Wembley berth during the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The 53-year-old admitted that some of those performances, despite coming in a losing cause, have given him food for thought, but said that having this selection dilemma is a "wonderful" problem to have.

He told Sky Sports News: "It was a good workout for us. A lot of people needed a game and it has given me something to think about with obviously the cup final in the next 10 days or so.

"It's a wonderful thing to have in the armoury at the moment. I can only pick XI of course and I'm going to disappoint a few, of course I am, but that's the nature of football. There are a lot of them that deserve to play but I can only pick XI."

First-choice strike pair Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic are ineligible for the showdown with the Gunners.
