Chelsea have reportedly made contact with Bayern Munich over a potential deal for forward Mathys Tel.
The Blues are currently in talks with Bayern regarding the future of Christopher Nkunku, who is keen to join the German giants before next month's transfer deadline.
The Bavarians have already reached a verbal agreement over personal terms after identifying the Frenchman as their top transfer target.
While Nkunku is pushing to move to the Allianz Arena, there is a possibility that a Bayern forward could move in the opposite direction before the February 3 deadline.

Chelsea enquire over Tel move
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has made contact with Bayern regarding a potential move for Tel.
The update claims that the Blues recently held talks with the Bundesliga club to gather more information about the player's current situation.
Tel supposedly spoke to Bayern boss Vincent Kompany 10 days ago to make it clear that he is determined to succeed at the Allianz Arena.
Kompany has used the 19-year-old forward sparingly this season, demonstrated by the fact he has featured in just 12 competitive games.
In fact, Tel has featured in only three starting lineups, with his most recent start coming in November's league game against Borussia Dortmund.

Is a swap deal possible?
The teenager's versatility may appeal to Chelsea, as he has proven in the past that he can operate out wide as well as a central striker.
With Chelsea showing an interest in Tel, Romano has reported that the Blues have discussed a swap deal with Bayern.
The two clubs have held initial talks over a swap proposal which would see Tel and Nkunku move in opposite directions, although such discussions are believed to be at an early stage.
The two French attackers are both under contract with their respective clubs until the summer of 2029.
