Roberto Di Matteo to name "strong team" against Manchester City

Roberto Di Matteo claims that he will select a "strong" side for Chelsea's Community Shield battle against Manchester City on Sunday.

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has claimed that he will not name a weakened side for the club's Community Shield clash against Manchester City.

The Blues, who are due to face the Premier League champions at Villa Park on Sunday, are only without midfielder Marko Marin for the match.

"Everybody apart from Marko Marin is fit and available and I will select the final team tomorrow after the last training," said Di Matteo.

"It's certainly going to be a strong team, keeping in mind the stage where the players are, they are at different stages, but it will be a strong team."

The likes of Ryan Bertrand and Juan Mata are likely to feature, while new signing Eden Hazard is expected to make his competitive debut for the Champions League winners.
