Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's FA Cup fifth-round match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool must bounce back from their worst performance and result of the season in order to keep their treble dreams on track when they take on Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

Jurgen Klopp's side travel to Stamford Bridge off the back of a chastening 3-0 defeat at Watford on Saturday, ending their 18-match winning streak and 44-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

The result will do little to affect their title chances, but with their Champions League hopes hanging in the balance March could prove to be a pivotal month in their attempts to emulate Manchester United's 1999 treble-winners.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the Reds' latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's contest.

Joe Gomez

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: March 3 (vs. Chelsea)

Joe Gomez was a surprise absentee from the Liverpool side to face Watford, but Klopp eased concerns about his fitness by insisting that the problem was nothing serious and has since confirmed that the centre-back will be in contention for Tuesday's game.

Naby Keita

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: March 7 (vs. Bournemouth)

Naby Keita also missed the Watford defeat with a slight hip strain and, while the injury is not thought to be anything too serious, he will miss the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Jordan Henderson

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: March 16 (vs. Everton)

Captain Jordan Henderson has been ruled out for around three weeks after picking up a hamstring injury against Atletico Madrid, leaving him in a race to be fit in time for the Merseyside derby.

James Milner

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: March 3 (vs. Chelsea)

James Milner will be in contention for Tuesday's trip to Stamford Bridge having only narrowly missed out on the Watford game due to a muscular strain.

Xherdan Shaqiri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Xherdan Shaqiri has suffered an injury-plagued campaign and his latest absence looks like it could be a frustrating one, with Klopp confirming that the Swiss attacker is some way away from returning.

Nathaniel Clyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Nathaniel Clyne has fared even worse than Shaqiri and is still yet to feature this season after sustaining a serious knee injury during the summer.

Liverpool have no players suspended for this FA Cup match.
