Celtic manager Neil Lennon insists that the Scottish club will not be defensive against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has admitted that he was "disappointed" with quotes attributed to Barcelona midfielder Xavi.

The Spanish playmaker reportedly branded Celtic "anti-football" following their Champions League meeting at the Nou Camp two weeks ago, but Lennon has insisted that they did not set up defensively.

"I wasn't angry with the accusations but I was disappointed. We never set out to be defensive. Barcelona force you to play that way," Lennon told reporters.

Celtic welcome Barcelona to Celtic Park on Wednesday for their Group G clash.
