Man City injury, suspension news and return dates for Ipswich clash: Dias, Stones, Bobb, Rodri latest

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Ipswich Town on Sunday.

Manchester City will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they travel to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon.

After putting together a three-game winning run in all competitions, the Citizens were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw with Brentford on Tuesday night after letting a two-goal lead slip in the final eight minutes.

Pep Guardiola's side currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, a whopping 12 points behind leaders Liverpool and three points behind Newcastle United in fourth spot.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Kieran McKenna's Ipswich.

Rodri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Man City are set to be without influential midfielder Rodri for the rest of the season after he suffered knee ligament damage in a 2-2 draw with Arsenal in September.

However, the Spaniard offered a positive update on his recovery at the end of last year, setting a new target for when he wishes to return.

John Stones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: January 25 (vs. Chelsea)

John Stones has missed Man City's last five games with a foot injury and is not expected to be involved against Ipswich. However, the defender is "getting better" according to Guardiola and is seemingly on the verge of a return to first-team action.

Oscar Bobb

Possible return date: January 19 (vs. Ipswich)

After five months out with a leg fracture, Oscar Bobb returned to partial team training prior to Man City's FA Cup win over Salford last week, and the attacker could be ready to return to the matchday squad on Sunday.

Ruben Dias
