Report: Atletico Madrid reject Inter Milan interest in Raul Garcia

A report claims that Inter Milan have failed in their move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly turned down a move from Inter Milan for their Spanish midfielder Raul Garcia.

The 27-year-old was scored 10 times in all competitions for the Spanish outfit this season, but has found it difficult to hold down a regular spot in Diego Simeone's first XI.

Inter are one of a number of clubs that have been linked with a move, but according to Radio Marca, Atletico have insisted that they have no desire to sanction a deal for the central midfielder.

Garcia's current deal at the Vicente Calderon will expire at the end of next season, but negotiations over a new contract are expected to take place following the interest from abroad.
