Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly revising their transfer plans for Ivan Toney, with both clubs open to offering players and cash for the Brentford striker's signature.

Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly revised their transfer plans for Ivan Toney, with both clubs now open to offering players and cash for the Brentford striker's signature.

Toney is currently serving an eight-month ban for breaching betting rules, but with the striker set to return in January, he has been heavily linked with a move away from the Gtech Community Stadium.

The England international was the third-highest goalscorer in the 2022-23 Premier League season with 20 goals, trailing only Harry Kane and Erling Haaland in the race for the Golden Boot.

Thomas Frank has admitted that the striker could leave Brentford for the right price, and Arsenal and Chelsea are among the front-runners to battle for the signature of the 27-year-old, according to a report from 90min.

The report adds that Brentford have denied claims of a £60m valuation for Toney but indicates that The Bees would consider a sum surpassing £75m for the England international, though no definitive asking price has been stated.

The London duo may still consider meeting the asking price for Toney, but both clubs are also willing to offer players as part of the potential deal.

Brentford have reportedly begun their search for a replacement for Toney, with Wolfsburg's Jonas Wind emerging as one of the possible targets.

Toney joined Brentford from Peterborough United in 2020 on a five-year deal for a fee of £5m and has recorded 21 assists and 68 goals in his time at the Gtech Community Stadium.
