David Ferrer has said that he felt nervous at the beginning of his quarter-final match with Jurgen Melzer at the Miami Masters.
The Spaniard dropped the first set but eventually prevailed 6-4 6-3 6-0 to reach his third semi-final in this tournament.
"I was a little bit nervous in the first set and part of the second," Ferrer told reporters. "But I tried to fight every point, to be focused.
"I had a good feeling in the final of the second set and of course in the third one.
"Now I am in the semi-final. I will have to play very good against Tommy Haas or Gilles Simon to be in the final."
Ferrer reached the last four in 2005 and 2006.
