Ruben Bemelmans: 'We have a plan to tackle Andy Murray in Davis Cup final'

Belgium's Ruben Bemelmans says that he and his teammates have a "clear plan" to stop Andy Murray in this week's Davis Cup final against Great Britain.

Belgium's Ruben Bemelmans has claimed that he will try to execute a "clear plan" set up by his team to defeat Andy Murray in his singles match during this week's Davis Cup final against Great Britain.

The world number 108 will face Murray for the first time in his career when the pair play in the second rubber on Friday in Ghent.

"This will be the first confrontation I've had with [Murray], match or practice, so it's going to be new for him as well," the tournament's official website quotes Bemelmans as saying.

"I think I probably know him better, how he plays, than him me. Maybe that's a slight advantage there. But I will be well prepared and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

"Andy is very solid. He's number two of the world, so it's going to be very tough. But I'm not going to discuss tactics here. I think we have a clear plan and it's up to me to execute this as well as possible."

Kyle Edmund will make his Davis Cup debut when he plays David Goffin in the opening match of the three-day final.
