Northampton Saints thrash Sale Sharks

Northampton Saints ease to a comfortable win over Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership.

Northampton Saints have taken a comfortable 33-14 win over Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership this evening.

The home side dominated the opening half-hour, as Luther Burrell, George North and George Pisi all found the try line to give Northampton a 17-0 lead.

A strong finish to the opening period resulted in a try for Mark Cueto, keeping Sale in the match at half time.

Lee Dickson and Phil Dowson added to the score for the Saints after the break, while a further effort was ruled out for an illegal grounding.

Marc Jones added a late consolation for the visitors, but it was too late for them to take anything away from the clash.
