How Colombia could line up against Uruguay

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Colombia could line up for Saturday's Copa America clash with Uruguay.

Colombia may look to make some small alterations to their side coming into Saturday's Copa America quarter-final clash with Uruguay, given La Tricolor's somewhat disappointing form in the group stage.

Manager Reinaldo Rueda has continued to rotate his attacking options, with Duvan Zapata, Luis Muriel and Rafael Borre all having failed to find the net so far, while Miguel Borja's only goal came from the penalty spot.

However, Muriel and Zapata formed a dangerous paring for Atalanta in the Italian top flight last season, hitting a combined tally of 37 goals and 19 assists in Serie A action, and they could be deployed as a front two for the first time in the tournament.

The majority of the attacking threat so far has come from the wide areas, with Edwin Cardona and Porto star Luis Diaz each netting a goal.

Meanwhile, Juventus' Juan Cuadrado has been a constant threat on the right flank, standing out as one of his side's most impressive players in the majority of their games.

Mateus Uribe and Wilmar Barrios should continue to line up in the middle, bringing plenty of balance to the side with ability at both ends of the pitch.

Behind them, Rueda is expected to stick with the pairing of Everton centre-back Yerry Mina and Tottenham Hotspur's Davinson Sanchez at the heart of the back four.

They will shield experienced goalkeeper David Ospina, who will earn his 112th international cap on Saturday.

Colombia possible starting lineup: Ospina; Munoz, Mina, Sanchez, Tesillo; Cuadrado, Barrios, Uribe, Diaz; Zapata, Muriel
