Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho rules out Juan Foyth loan exit

Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho says that there is "no chance" of Juan Foyth being allowed to leave on loan during the January transfer window.

Jose Mourinho has dismissed speculation linking Juan Foyth with a loan exit from Tottenham Hotspur.

Having missed the start of the season due to an ankle injury, Foyth has been restricted to just two starts and three substitute appearances.

Reports have suggested that the Argentina international is open to spending time at another club in order to gain regular first-team action.

However, Mourinho has insisted that there is "no chance" of the 21-year-old leaving the North London outfit at the beginning of 2020.

At a press conference, Mourinho told reporters: "At the moment, the players that went to Munich with us are part of our squad, so I don't think there will be many doors open for players to get out on loan.

"If you want to be more direct like some media that was saying Foyth was one of them - I can kill it now. No chance."

As well as acting as the fourth centre-back at Spurs, Foyth can also play at right-back, which has proven to be a problem position in recent months.
