Gareth Bale has reportedly told Tottenham Hotspur that he wants to speak to Real Madrid over a potential summer move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Widespread reports have claimed that the Spanish giants are prepared to offer £85m for the Wales international, who recently claimed that he is focused on the 2013-14 campaign at White Hart Lane.
While the North London outfit are said to be determined to keep hold of the prolific player, Bale has told chairman Daniel Levy that he wants to hold talks with Madrid representatives, according to the Irish Independent.
Reports have suggested that Spurs are willing to offer Bale a new contract, but the 24-year-old is believed to have stated that he will not put pen to paper on a deal regardless of a salary increase.
