Southampton striker Rickie Lambert has revealed his delight with the way he and his side have performed this season.
The Saints ended their first season back in the Premier League with a 1-1 home draw with Stoke City, as Lambert scored his side's equaliser to notch his 15th goal of the campaign.
Lambert told the club's official website: "I am proud – every goal means a lot. Playing in the Premier League has been a highlight, and I've playing against top players in every game so I've been lucky enough to score against them.
"It's been a good season for me personally, and for the boys it's been superb. It was nice to finish on a goal, but it was a shame that we didn't win it. At least we didn't lose.
"It was a good result, and we've obviously got to be very happy with the season we've had."
Southampton finished the season in 14th place in the Premier League.
