Michael Owen starts the final game of his career on the bench in Stoke City's away clash against Southampton.

Michael Owen has been left on the Stoke City bench for their Premier League clash against Southampton at St Mary's Stadium this afternoon.

This will be the former England international striker's final game of his career, as he will retire thereafter.

Kenwyne Jones has been left out of Stoke matchday squad because of problems over dressing rooms pranks, while Glenn Whelan and Brek Shea are out with groin and calf injuries respectively.

Meanwhile, Southampton have captain Kelvin Davis back in goal in place of Artur Boruc.
