How Real Madrid could line up against Girona

Ahead of Thursday's's Copa del Rey tie between Girona and Real Madrid, Sports Mole looks at how Santiago Solari's side could line up at Estadi Montilivi.

Real Madrid head into the second leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final with Girona holding a 4-2 advantage from the first fixture at the Bernabeu.

The Spanish giants are looking to win this competition for the first time since 2014, and interim boss Santiago Solari will be eager to move closer to lifting some silverware at the end of the season.

Real have also emerged victorious in their last three matches in all competitions, a period which has produced a total of 10 goals.

Solari has a number of selection issues ahead of Wednesday's match, and here Sports Mole looks at how Real could line up at Estadi Montilivi.

Out: Jesus Vallejo (hamstring)
Doubtful: Keylor Navas (groin), Sergio Ramos (knee)

Gareth Bale made a successful return from injury at the weekend, and Solari is likely to hand a start to the Welshman who will be keen to build his match fitness.

Isco could be brought into the team with Lucas Vazquez handed a rest and Marco Asensio having only made a return to training over the past couple of days.

Toni Kroos may drop down to the bench having come through unscathed on his first outing in a number of weeks, with Marcos Llorente potentially being given the nod.

Dani Ceballos could also be involved, but Solari should keep Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane in the team with the pair suspended for the La Liga game at the weekend.

That may lead to no risks being taken with the knee problem sustained by Sergio Ramos at Espanyol, but Solari may be willing to bring in Keylor Navas who has returned to training after a groin injury.
