Charlie Austin focused on Queens Park Rangers

Striker Charlie Austin stresses that he is not concerned by any talk over his Queens Park Rangers future, which will remain the case until he is "told otherwise".

In-demand striker Charlie Austin has declared that he is only focused on helping Queens Park Rangers.

The 25-year-old impressed with the R's in the Premier League last term by finding the net 18 times.

A number of clubs are said to have shown an interest in signing the Englishman, although QPR are unwilling to sell their star player for anything less than £15m.

Despite the ongoing transfer speculation, Austin will continue to prepare for Rangers' opening Championship fixture until he is "told otherwise".

"What's going on back at home is for other people to worry about," Austin told the club's official website. "That's for Les [Ferdinand], Chris [Ramsey], my agent and Tony [Fernandes] to sort out.

"For me, I'm here to get my head down and work as hard as I can, hopefully play in a couple of games whilst I'm out here and prepare for Charlton on the 8th.

"Until I'm told otherwise, I'm a QPR player and I'm preparing for the Championship next year, and if I'm told otherwise, then so be it."

QPR face Charlton in their opening league fixture on August 8.
