Queens Park Rangers' chief executive Phil Beard, chairman Tony Fernandes and manager Mark Hughes will discuss individual players in a meeting today.

Queens Park Rangers chief executive Phil Beard is due to sit down with chairman Tony Fernandes, manager Mark Hughes and the rest of the club's board to discuss the fate of Joey Barton.

The West London outfit have until 6pm this evening to respond to the Football Association's charge against Barton, who is accused of committing two separate acts of violent conduct during QPR's 3-2 defeat to Manchester City on the final day of the Premier League season.

The controversial midfielder was sent off for appearing to elbow Carlos Tevez in the chin and then further kicked out at Sergio Aguero as well as attempting to headbutt City captain Vincent Kompany.

It is understood that QPR will discuss each individual player at a meeting today ahead of their preparations for the upcoming season, according to Sky Sports News.

Reports have claimed that Hughes is keen to offload the 29-year-old playmaker this summer.
